WEARING | ZEBRA STRIPES AND LEOPARD PRINT

By Emily Beetleshack
The original author of The Beetle Shack, Emily is a chronic over sharer and collector of unnecessary consumer goods. In a past life Emily was a high school Visual Arts teacher. She always enjoyed the ‘naughty’ kids the most; the ones who were resistant to following the rules and questioned the boundaries. They were interesting, challenging and funny. When she was pregnant with her first child she could be heard saying, “I hope I have a cheeky child, one that speaks his mind and is rebellious in nature”. Unsurprisingly, she did. In the archives of the Beetle Shack you'll find her tales of raising her own ‘spirited’ children whilst swanning about the house dressed as a fruit salad.

Interrupting your normal scheduling to bring you this Copy Cat post…

I love a striped dress, don't we all? But when I saw Bev from Iris May Style teaming hers with animal print booties, I knew I had to copy. It just looked too fun to resist.  A couple of hours and a couple of dollars later and I too had my own Zebra Stripe/ Leopard Print combo.

For me, this is such an easy look to wear. I could go out for dinner with heels, wear animal print flats for fun day wear or throw on the old super casual New Balance or Converse for the school run. The best part is that this Bohemian Traders dress is just like wearing a massive oversized jumper!!

Are you into a bold stripe? There are just a few of these numbers left online and with Spend & Save on now, they're going quickly!

oh also, check out Qew in her stripy number here.

  3. Love this look! If you don't mind me asking, what size is the dress you're wearing? I want to buy one and you look similar height and build to me? I'm 164 cm tall! Thanks!

    1. Of course! Not at all! I'm wearing a size 10. I'd say this style is pretty true to size. I'm very short (158cm) and rather round for my petite frame but the 10 works for me :)

Most comfortable dress EVER!! You'll need both colours ;) hahaha
