By Emily Beetleshack
The original author of The Beetle Shack, Emily is a chronic over sharer and collector of unnecessary consumer goods. In a past life Emily was a high school Visual Arts teacher. She always enjoyed the ‘naughty’ kids the most; the ones who were resistant to following the rules and questioned the boundaries. They were interesting, challenging and funny. When she was pregnant with her first child she could be heard saying, “I hope I have a cheeky child, one that speaks his mind and is rebellious in nature”. Unsurprisingly, she did. In the archives of the Beetle Shack you'll find her tales of raising her own ‘spirited’ children whilst swanning about the house dressed as a fruit salad.
These are my favourite pants...
These are my favourite pants. I confess to wearing either the khaki or the black version pretty much every day. Made from a winter weight cotton with the perfect amount of stretch, they are comfortable, machine washable and well, totally flog-able. I wore them last week too, remember? Yep, I've picked them up off the floor every day and put them back on… I'm not the only one that does this, right?
I style mine casually with a Lace Trim Blouse, Raglan Sleeve Tee or Plaid Shirt but on this occasion, I have dressed them up with the gorgeous Yassou Blouse and my fave pair of tan pumps!
Also, just quietly about the Yassou Blouse - it's bread feeding friendly and dressy enough to wear for special occasions. Worn with a straight skirt or skinny jeans, you could access your milk jugs and look smoking hot at the tame time? winning, right?
