WEARING | THE DARLING DRESS

By Emily Beetleshack
The original author of The Beetle Shack, Emily is a chronic over sharer and collector of unnecessary consumer goods. In a past life Emily was a high school Visual Arts teacher. She always enjoyed the ‘naughty’ kids the most; the ones who were resistant to following the rules and questioned the boundaries. They were interesting, challenging and funny. When she was pregnant with her first child she could be heard saying, “I hope I have a cheeky child, one that speaks his mind and is rebellious in nature”. Unsurprisingly, she did. In the archives of the Beetle Shack you'll find her tales of raising her own ‘spirited’ children whilst swanning about the house dressed as a fruit salad.

Disclaimer - I totally fake tanned my legs in Pic Monkey. Vanity got the better of me.

I've been loving my Darling Dress lately. It's still been pretty warm where we are and I'm not yet ready for jeans and jumpers so this little frock has been a life saver. It's easy to wear and covers a multitude of soft cheese and wine sins. As an added bonus, it's fully lined so I don't need to rummage through my smalls (slash medium to larges) to find natural coloured underwear. Winning.

As the weather cools down, I'll be layering this darling (see what I did there?) over grey marl tights and putting my Khaki Anorak on top.

Easy. Peasy.

    1. It's a different cut, the Dreamer Dress is a circular cut, this one is more A Line but it's roomy and relaxed… if that makes sense?
