WEARING | PINK ON TOP

Pink is such a soft and feminine colour. I find it really easy to mix into my wardrobe during Spring and Summer, it's a nice change to white (which I wear all the time) without being too difficult to work with my existing colour palette - I have lots of khaki, denim and floral prints.

This week I'm wearing my Dusty Linen Dress as a top over my favourite Distressed Skinnies (truly the most flattering jeans ever, if you have a pair you'll agree). The Dusty Dress is my absolute favourite piece from the Bohemian Traders La Boheme collection. It's made from great quality 100% linen and can be layered or worn alone. Dressed up with heels (as seen here) or worn with simple flats (like the gorgeous Vanessa is wearing today) for every day style.

I've also been loving my Ruffle Hem Blouse of late and have been layering it over my favourite sleeveless printed tees for warmth during the cooler days. It's easy to throw on or tie around the waist as the day heats up. Plus the cut is super flattering and skims my nasty muffin top. ;)

In other news, Is it actually Wednesday today? The school holidays are flying past with this scrumptious warm weather!!

  1. I always notice that you write that you are wearing a size 10, you are SO not a size ten! or if you are then you must be taking photos with a wide angled lens!

    2. Maybe the lens is up too close, therefore making everything look larger?

    5. Anonymous.... seriously? Come on... This chick rocks. Her blog rocks. Her family rocks. Her clothes rock. And you're focusing on her clothing size?

    6. Wow, what a charming individual you are. You don't even have the balls to show who you are other than a pathetic keyboard warrior.
No one cares about your negativity and if you don't like it then jog on!

  8. Oh Em. Ms Anonymous Venomous has never seen you. She doesn't know you are a 'little person"....and she doesn't know that you are an exceptionally attractive one also. I find it very strange that anybody would want to put you down like that. However, one must only conclude they have issues with your success and want to rob you of something. One can only feel sorry for someone who feels better in themselves for the blatant denigration of others. Take heart and don't give it another thought! xxx

  9. I learned recently that when pastel colours first came out, the fashion was PINK FOR BOYS (a strong colour) and BLUE FOR GIRLS (a softer colour for the gentler sex). Weird eh?

  11. You always look so gorgeous and I've only met you once or twice in real life and you are tiny!
I think people who criticise need to turn the mirror around and look at themselves because that's where the real problem is.
Em you have nothing to worry about. You are a gorgeous mum to 3 kids :)

  15. Seriously, have I been hiding under a stone? Why oh why haven't I sat up and taken notice of all of my favourite style bloggers wearing your gorgeous pieces? That pink linen tunic/dress is just divine Em (Vanessa also looks stunning) and those jeans - well they are darn gorgeous xx

  16. I have these jeans - plus the black ones and the White ones and the vintage wash ones. Oh and the boyfs too. The skinny ones really are super flattering. Oh so comfy too.

I really want to ignore the rude commenter because don't feed the trolls and all that. But I just have to say this. Why? What's the point? Is it really necessary to be nasty to other people? Em said she's wearing a 10. So she's wearing a 10. What reason does she have to lie? It's in her interests because people can use that info to make their own choice.

  20. You look so pretty in pink Em, just gorgeous. I find sizing info helpful so not sure why anyone would take issue with this. It's baffling. x

  21. I always like the look of a dress over jeans. You look great in that color!

  22. I really love these jeans on you - seeing them on you makes me consider a skinny jean for myself for the first time!! One day they will be mine! Oh and I also find the sizing info really helpful - can be really hard buying online - especially when the models are much taller and thinner than me!

  23. I love anything that hides a muffin top. And oh my goodness. Did an anonymous person actually say that out loud? ANONYMOUSLY????? (Shame!)

  24. I just read the "size" post. So I wandered over here to see what all the fuss had been made about. Seriously, you are one Yummy Mummy (Great jeans by the way!). And I don't think it's the size of your jeans that counts - its how you feel about yourself. :) Rock on Em.

  25. Not that you should worry yourself over one jerk of a commenter, but I would say that you look smaller than a size 10 (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with being a size 10-or any size for that matter). You just rock those sexy curves, girl. And those shoes are so cute! Such a pretty dusty pink color.

  26. How rude anonymous. show your size and stop hiding...

  27. YOU ROCK EM!!! and look totally gorgeous!!! xx
