Five years ago today I watched through the hospital window as the sun crept up over roof tops and eucalypts. It's light was was pure gold - thick and heavy and lusty. Time stood still as it's shimmering glow turned the sky from ink to indigo to cobalt.

At last a spattering of crisp white cloud took it's place above our heads. It was 1:30pm and it was time for you to come.

Five years have flown and dragged and flown again, just like 38 hours of labour.

Happy Birthday, Darling one.

Thanks so much for your words of encouragement, advice and solidarity.
