50/52 {the christmas edition}

Our Family : In keeping with Christmas tradition we went to our favourite Tree Farm to chop us down a shapely Pine. She now sits proudly by our living room window sprinkled with tinsel and dotted with fairly lights.

These photo's so perfectly capture what I love about our family life. Imperfection. Backwards t-shirts, hair pulling, baby girl dressed as baby boy, son pretending to use his thumbs as guns, daughter searching pockets for treasures.

Christmas 2013 is on it's way.

See you a bit later for the Stills Collection.

  3. Yep, that's life with little people alright.....my Mother in Law who lives in Melbourne used to do the pine tree and it smelt so beautiful and it all seems so romantic and nostalgic to go to a Christmas Tree Farm and get your own tree. We settle for a big plastic one that looks like pine needles. Regards Kathy A, Brisbane, Australia

  4. PS...I've decided to participate in the Weekly Photo of my kids, not that I don't take enough photos of my kids...just thought I would try and capture more of their personality next year. Regards Kathy A, Brisbane, Australia

  5. Oh l did enjoy this post Em. After seemingly watching all of North America collect their trees in the smow - do you know how nice it is to see an Aussie go and get their tree on a blistering summers day with palm trees in the background? You've got to love Australia.

  6. The hair pulling (and you being total oblivious) is my favourite! I won this year and we got our first real tree! We used to have them when I was a kid, my house smells really festive now (just don't go near the festy compost bin in the kitchen). xx
