WEARING - MY UNIFORM

I just can't help wearing comfortable stuff. I have no interest in clothing that clings to my skin or exposes my bulges - it makes me irritable and snappy. Oh Gosh, I sound like my mother. Give me boyfriend jeans (i'm after some distressed ones, have you seen any that are amazing?) and and baggy tee's.

In other news, don't you love how jeans never need washing. Like, ever?

  1. You look AHmazing Em! How you describe clothing and what you feel comfortable = Im totally there with you! Those jeans look so good, im not usually a jean-wearer unless 'going out' as I find then clingy and restrictive, I should try these. I love the look on you, totally relaxed but 'with-it' stylish mumma. Love your hair too...Im a true messy top-knot wearer, after chopping off all my locks after #2 was born - into a retro short bob with bangs...it was a nightmare for up-keep and styling, and I despised having hair in my face! Love the colour too.

  2. I'm with the comfortable clothes too.
Have you checked out Jeans West. All the jeans I've purchased from there I've been happy with. x

  3. I wish I could get away with never washing my jeans, but snotty noses and grotty hands make jean washing (at least every third wear or so) a necessity. Also wish I was rocking my jeans like you are!

  4. I adore shoes from Wittner. I think I own about 5 pairs including boots, sandals and flats! Yours are gorgeous!

  5. Love the whole outfit! I'm going to see if that freest tee is still in CR.

I just bought chambray boyfriend jean/pants from CR on Nikki from Styling You recommendation. Love them! My normally size 16 butt fits very comfortably in a size 14 and they are so comfy. Best of all... Elasticised waist band!

  6. I hear ya! I've just bought a heap of t-shirts that are 2 sizes to big cause I couldn't stand the cling anymore and a pair of the comfiest harem pants, love me an elastic waist band.
You look great by the way.

  8. I agree about the jean washing or non-jean washing I should say! For some reason they are not the same after a wash... Cute little top! Love a polka dot :)

  9. There is something so uber cool about slouchy boyfriend jeans. But I just can't do them. I've tried (oh, how I've TRIED!), but you just rock them so much better. Rock them Em! x

  12. You look like such a cutie in this outfit. Totally jealous. I tried something very similar on Monday and looked like a frump. Even my daughter laughed (gotta love the honesty of children, well a 20 year old child). I so want to be able to wear boyfriend jeans!!

  16. You are beyond cute. And yes, I detest being uncomfortable in fashion - which should be about having fun, which calls for comfort!

  19. Re: Distressed jeans. Got any pairs that are a bit past their best? I usually take scissors to the knees and use a nail file on other parts of the denim to give them a distressed look. Hot-ass-punk new lease of life for old battered denims.

  21. Lookin' cute! This is my uniform too! Totally agree on the nice loose, tucked in at the front tee. I like $15 Bonds U tees that have a nice deep "U" neck and are quite floaty. I'm a bit of a jean freak and after years of wearing low-rise jeans and realising my muffin top was here to stay, I recently discovered boyfriend jeans that are mid-rise and don't make me feel frumpy (I had a slightly abnormal issue with mid-rise) and here is my recommendation....... Rag & Bone Dre Boyfriend Jeans - $220 DJs - worth the pennies. Cotton/polyurethane mix so don't baggy out too much either, great vintage soft yet not too thin denim. I LOVE THEM and have tried on many pairs with many swearwords involved. :) x

  22. Looking lovely and I now have skinny boyfriend jeans that are 3 sizes too big as the wider legs don't suit me but the skinny ones do,I love your style Em and I love comfy clothes too! Lisa Mckenzie

  24. Uh my jeans need washing after the mushed purée and the paint nod the vomit and the baking mess and the 7pm wine spill....

    You look very cute.

  25. I've always bought jeans from Jeans West, but I've got no idea if they have distressed boyfriend styles. All I know is that I never struggle to get into them, which is a bonus in my book! Looking lovely, Em x
