Flower Bomb Bedroom

Here we are in the midst of Spring and all of the goodness it brings. Warm days, cool nights and stunning golden light. We've been sleeping with the windows open and when I'm lucky I can hear the sound of the ocean calling to me, whispering in my ear and telling me stories of carefree days and misspent youth. Only now, I've replaced the old single bed with this glorious Incy number (which actually makes our mattress more comfortable and is currently half price) and my threadbare cotton sheets are nowhere to be seen.

I couldn't resist the call of all things floral this season so I've packed our room with print and pattern. A focus on blooms and a pinch of luxurious ice dyed textiles thanks to the lovely Em from Lumiere Art and Co. Pure linen with crocheted trims ensure we stay cool when the nights are hot. Our bedroom has always been my favourite place in the house and in Spring, it's truly at it's best. The light pours in from sun up till dusk, it catches the sea breeze and now, it transports me to a bohemian paradise while I sleep** Going to bed has never been better.

  5. Just beautiful. I wonder how the Kith & Co mats feel under foot? I have been thinking about getting one for the lounge room and the boy's playroom.

    1. Hey Kate!

This is our second Kith & Co mat (we have one in our daughters room too link below). I think they are brilliant for bedroom and play room, ESPECIALLY for children. They are 'squishy' underfoot... but not soft like carpet. They shake off, don't show the dirt and wear exceptionally well. It's sage to say i'm a fan!

      hope that helps.

  9. Pretty! I unfortunately have to avoid anything floral unless it has a slightly edgier style...no thanks to Mr. C who just isn't into florals. So I'm left with looking at other people's floral styling. Like yours. :)
