30/52

Zeph: Seriously Darling, you are ALWAYS covered in dirt, dust, soot or grime. It's not uncommon for you to climb into the wood fired oven (when it's cold, of course) to play and dig and mess make. You delight us with your crazy ways.

Pippi: When your up high on your Dadda's shoulders you like to hold onto his beard like the reigns on a horse. You can just see the pleasure on his face.

Elke: I hope always remember the warmth of your smooshy cheeks on my chest. Newborn goodness right there. It's crazy to think that Zeph and Pip were that tiny once too.

Linking in with Jodi and coming back later in the day for the stills link up

  2. I have a grubby/adventurous boy as well. What's the protocol on hosing off your child before they come back into the house?

    2. My now teenager was once one of those said grubby boys (as was my little girl, nicknamed 'Princess Grotalot' by my family!) I always had a baby bath with some towels at the back door step, then when it was 'inside time' They would strip off leaving the dirty clothes outside, rinse the dirt/paint/whatever grot off and head inside wrapped in a towel. Although having said that, the dog's water bowls always seemed a good place to bath too!

  6. Oh newborn cuddles. The best. Gorgeous beard holding. Hang in there, Dave.

That Zeph. Sounds just like my 4 year old. Gosh, they're messy critters. Lucky we are SUCH calm mothers, right? RIGHT?

Of course we are ;) x

  7. Oh I miss that newborn closeness! Toddler cuddles are wonderful as well...but they aren't the same as that constant newborn goodness!
And I remember when I was young, my sister and I loved to pull my dad's arm hair. Sorry Dad!
