Wearing: Polka Dots and a Pom Pom

I keep thing pretty simple on the wardrobe front these days, If it makes it out of the wardrobe, i'll flog it every day until it's filthy (yes, i really will)  but If i'm going to wear it it's got to tick a few basic boxes;

1. Be button down or stretchy at the front for easy breast feeding access
2. Sport a fabulous print to hide baby vomit and booger smears
3. Pants and tights must be comfortable and not fall down. I have no time for hitching things up.
4. Be fruity because life is boring without a bit of colour

Wearing:

Beanie c|o Sourpuss Knits
Polka Dot Shirt | Anthropologie  (find similar)
Denim Jacket | Levis
Jeans | Levis
Boots | Sole Society (find similar)

    1. I know, I have ruined SO many of my tee's by pulling them down at the neck!

    2. I couldn't find shirts that would do up over my EnormoBoobs when I was breastfeeding, so I too ruined a few tee shirts. Still, I'd much rather ruin a tee shirt by pulling the neck down than lift it up from the bottom and reveal my stomach to the world! ;)

  3. is this a sponsored post? did you get any of these items for free. you should disclose when you get a kickback when someone clicks on these links.

    1. Hey Anon, I agree 100% - kickbacks should be disclosed as should sponsored posts. This is something I always do here on this blog.

None of the links above have been paid for, nor are they affiliate links. The boots were given to me by the brand Sole Society about 3 seasons ago but the brand has since folded so I provided a 'find similar' link. I wear these boots every day, they are easily the BEST pair of shoes I have.

thanks for holding me to account here. I'm completely open to critique and criticism.

      Thanks

      Em

    2. p.s I've never done the 'find similar' before. Open to feed back- does it look dodgy and annoying? I thought it might be helpful but might not do it again.

    3. You have just gone back and edited the text now to show that the beanie has been provided for free c/o. You therefore do not always disclose, only when you get caught out. I find this very deceitful. You have also deleted previous comments on Posts when people have called you up on this.

    5. Hello there, anonymous. Could you be so kind as to bear in mind that Emily has a very new baby and two more kids at home. I'm impressed she is getting dressed every day, let alone blogging the outfit. If she's accidentally left something out, like the disclosure about the beanie, it's not necessary to be quite so unkind about it. Anyone who reads this blog knows that Emily is a lovely and genuine person who took the opportunity to correct an honest error when it was drawn to her attention.

Life is hard enough as it is without deliberately trying to pick holes (and fights) with people. Let's support each other and play nice, 'kay?

    6. And can I just add that really, who gives a flying f@$k if Em got it for free or not?!? Like really?!? Talk about first world problems. Geez.

    7. Just in terms of your "find similar" question, I find it helpful Em. I'm a mama of two recently moved to the country from Sydney and therefore depend on the Internet for clothes so posts like yours are a real help. Yes clothes are merely materialistic items but if they make me feel better about myself then I can be a better mum and isn't that a good thing! I like blogs like yours as they mix realism with style and help me have inspiration to try something new from my Mummy-uniform. So thank you thank you thank you!
