Stills: A Weekly Collection {the domestic edition}

1. Piles and piles of washing. I must be nutty because since having my new washing machine*, I have taken great delight in making the clothes clean. Even sorting isn't a chore (who the hell am I?). As I fold and organise endless amounts of clean towels, sheets and clothes I can be head remarking 'oh my gosh, I just can't believe how clean this is'- it's only now that i realise how crap my last machine was.

2. There were three in the bed.

3. X marks the spot. Drawing maps and searching for treasure.

4. I know I said no coffee, but I just can't help it.

5. Lavender and Country Style (no, i haven't had time to read it)

6. More washing. What can I say?

7. We bought this swing just before Pippi was born. It's one of those items that I was never going to have when Zeph was born (because I was going to be a superior parent, you know) but I can safely say, it's a bloody miracle worker. if you have a baby or are going to have a baby, cut yourself some slack and get a swing!

* I bought this one, if your interested. I can strongly recommend it- mine was delivered to my front door days after purchase.

  1. My baby swing was my life saver when Sunny was little too! Do you still pinch yourself seeing all 3 of your cherubs together Em? They are too gorgeous for words! Seems like you're doing so well :)

    P.S. Can I drop my laundry off to your place? I'm fine with washing but h.a.t.e. folding!

  2. Beautiful pics.
    I always thought swings etc were a total waste (maybe a bit of superior parent bullhackey and possible more of I cant afford it so I dont want it mind games). But I borrowed one with my last baby and Oh em ge it was the BEST THING EVER.

    I would get one in a flash if I was to have more kids.

  3. Beautiful pics Em... I hear you with the new washing machine love!! I got TWO frontloaders to replace my crappy old machine and for weeks would try and find things to wash so I could marvel at how wonderfully clean they came out!! I am mad keen on having two machines... saves a huge amount of time with this brood of mine... Best idea ever!
    Have an awesome week. xx

  6. Oh the musical swing! It was the only thing that would get Sunny to sleep there for a while. My lifesaver - passed on to my cousin who has a newborn, a lifesaver all over again. You make me want a new washing machine too! x

  9. Oh we have almost the same machine we got the 8kg one. I love that I can pile up the washing for days (against my Mum's better advice to wash daily!). Then come a sunny day I can stuff SO. MUCH. WASHING into that thing and it comes out sparkling clean. It's made my life so much easier as I'm sure that swing thing is for you. BTW just started following along with the blog, which is weird as I've been following you on pinterest for ages. I'm enjoying it immensely, especially as I(we)contemplate a number 3.

  13. Amen to cutting oneself some slack. I didn't have a swing for my girl who had crazy colic, but I sure wish I had been a little less dogmatic about that sort of thing! Maybe we would have all gotten a little more sleep. One thing that worked amazingly well to combat the colic though was a hammock that her grandparents sent us from Switzerland. It was great at soothing her, and best of all, portable, so that it could cross the ocean together with us and fight colic on the other side of the world!
