26 Weeks, I'd say the count down is on.
It's official- i'm obsessed with redecorating this house from tip to toe, renovations included. Dave never gets a moments peace with my constant nattering about interior wall colours, textiles, children's rooms, new washing machines, fridges, air conditioners- whatever, If you can buy it, I want it.
Rampant consumerism comes withe the pregnancy territory, right?
Fortunately (for Dave) our budget only allows for...well... none of these things. So i'll just shuffle some things about and hope for the best (i'll probably repaint several walls too).

ReplyDeleteI LOVE your dress. Too cute.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant op shop find!
ReplyDeleteOoooo I love this outfit - and your hair!
ReplyDeleteI have never been pregnant, but am constantly wanting to consume and redecorate! Luckily, even just a small change like new pillows will satiate me (for a bit ;)
Your dress is amazing, you look AMAZING! YOUR HAIR! YOUR RADIANCE! YOUR BABENESS.
ReplyDeleteJust stop it.
xoxo
YOU STOP IT. Yes, i'm yelling at you.
Delete;)
LOVE that dress - what a good find! It looks great on you. Only just found your blog - looking forward to having a proper read x
ReplyDeleteYou look so beautiful. I can never pull off white, pregnant or not. But you do, so well too!
ReplyDeletei did with my 2nd baby (the pink one) 1st and 3rd not so much, I can live with the essentials and anything extra is either gifted or purchased on sale, I love a bargain x
ReplyDeleteWe need a bigger fridge though!
maybe it's a nod in the pink direction!? although i must confess to being the same with each of mine!

holy moly you completely ROCK out that dress! Op shop find?! Incredible.

This made me laugh in empathy (also, great frock, by the way)!
ReplyDeleteI was moderately obsessed while pregnant, but now that the little one is here and I'm home most of the day while on maternity leave, I've come up with a vast list of new/better things I want for the home! Our budget doesn't really stretch to anything either, so I've been doing the rearranging thing and DIY new art.
Here's to smooth sailing for the rest of the pregnancy and to dreams coming true ;-)
You look beautiful and I always want retail therapy, nit just when I'm pregnant!!!
ReplyDeleteWow hot mumma! You look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI didn't nest at all during pregnancy, in fact the husband was the one who did all the nesting stuff (returfing, new pantry, clearing out the studio) but now I am home a lot I am thinking and plotting and planning ... hopefully there is a sizable renovation on the cards for later this year (please Mr Banker).
I'll be asking our mr banker for the same thing Astred! More babies, more house I say!
DeleteBlimey Em you look gorgeous lady! I'm like that abut my house all the time.... unless I'm pregnant. *panics* xxxx
ReplyDeleteEm you have the most sweetest maternity outfits! All I remember was being so huge that a momo or stretchy pants would only fit! You look positively lovely :)
ReplyDeleteSophie xo
I'm well on my way to the moomoo Soph! Don't you worry!
DeleteYou are looking very lovely - seriously, that dress is great on you.
ReplyDeleteI became obsessed with sorting, arranging, organising and redecorating while pregnant - it's like my body knew there would never be time to go through the filing cabinet EVER AGAIN. And there wasn't.

yes, thats exactly it! It's like a final grab at TIME while it still exists!

Beautiful dress! I was 13 days overdue with Japser when I decided to carpet clean the whole house! Natalie xx

love the look. I am 13 weeks pregnant today and just want my house to look like a designer magazine. Unlike you though, I don't particularly have the motivation but like you, don't really have the budget. Will just have to make do!
ReplyDeleteI actually have an overwhelming desire to simplify, simplify, simplify by purging our house of unnecessary things. Though I do plan to get a dryer before baby comes. You look gorgeous in that dress x
ReplyDeleteThe count is on already?!? Time so flies, even here in blogland.
ReplyDeleteI don't have to fight the consumer bug, like you our budget does that for me :) I was obsessed with sites featuring baby interiors. Reigned that in a bit now. Still a sucker for beautiful toys. But only window shopping.
You look lovely. x

Gorgeous Em, you certainly rock the pregnant look! I did a lot of tidying and furniture building in my first pregnancy and an awful lot of darkroom developing (don't ask) in my second. There is definitely an increase in energy / mania in the early third trimester I reckon. Have a good week x
ReplyDeleteWonderful dress you are beautiful
ReplyDeleteLelli, Italian family
you look amazing em, and that dress is gorgeous, what a great find!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is amazing on you! I don't even have pregnancy to blame for my household wants ... but, alas, no money this year for such things. Can't wait to see the little nursery or nursery nook you create for this little one. x
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I'd be happy without the flung undies decorating our house. Anything else is a bonus. Although, we did just 'invest' in a second freezer, and already I've made a bunch of school foods and double dinners as a gift to future me. So we were a bit 'yay consumerism!' this week :) looking lovely, sweets.
ReplyDeleteBest op shop find ever! You're so gorgeous, my friend! x
ReplyDeleteYay, you're nesting! Love it. And the dress looks really pretty on you too, love it all. I also don't mind splashing a bit of paint around either to keep things really interesting. Happy week Em x
ReplyDeleteStunning, Em! This dress is divine, you are glowing!
ReplyDeleteSar xx
You look so cute!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is perfect!
I am about to buy a dishwasher!
Be still my beating heart!
When I was pregnant I was all about cleaning.
I took over cleaning and organising inside the house and I made poor Daddy R scrub the outside.
I would not let him rest until the entire house was cleaned with a power washer...no easy task as the back of the house sits on stilts about eight meters high!
OMG - totally consumer obsessed...you did see my baby's room didn't you? I shopped and DIY'ed for weeks for that thing. On reflection, got a little cray cray ; ) Awesome dress by the way - you look beautiful! B x
ReplyDeleteYou are simply glowing, my lovely lady!
ReplyDeleteOur natural desire to prep our nests for... what may come our way!
ReplyDeleteFor a while I convinced myself that the more I bought and feathered my nest, the better quality family life i would have... like the white leather couch...
WHITE...with 3 boys...
it aint white now.
we are extending, cement floors and plywood ceilings...
its all about hose down, and noise reduction... boys dont walk ANYWHERE...!
They bowl a wicket, kick a goal, wrestle, roll, race,...
Sorry Em, you look lovely, life with 3 little Ems will be bliss...!
by the way, you must be a truly personable and warm person... are you astounded by how many comments you get on a daily basis? I think your honest and earthiness comes through..so rare.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe! nice work!
consumer crazy? i'm usually not much of a shopper but you should have seen me go in bangkok!!
