Marigolds and Mermaids

Yesterday evening my sisters and I wandered over the hill and far away to frolic about in fields with Mexican florals and marigolds. While they sipped James Squires and looked beautiful I ran around them with the camera snapping pics, slapping mosquitoes and asking them to take their pants off (bohemians don't wear pants now, do they?). When the drizzle subsided and the clouds moved aside we witnessed the most glorious golden light hit the surrounding gum trees, turning their silvery bark into the petals of my favourite bloom, the humble marigold.

It was all very appropriate really.

Pizza and chatter kept us (and our husbands/ almost husband in your case mermaid Nicole) up until all hours and today, i'm feeling decidedly exhausted.

I'll show you some more pics from our Little Tienda play date later on in the week but for now you can see them by clicking here and scrolling over the thumbnails..
