If there is one thing that motherhood has taught me, it's that a little bit of organisation goes a long way. I'll be honest, it's not something that comes naturally to me. My park mums can vouch for the fact that i'll be the one asking around for nappies, a wipe, some snacks for my kids and maybe, just maybe a sip from their water bottle.
It was actually this group of amazing women that taught me the secret of organisation. It's all in a massive Marry Poppins bag and whats not in there is must be in the boot of your car (right Lize?). On our very first 'park date' I witnessed each of them pull out picnic blankets (stylish ones), home made snacks, toys for their children to play with and spare change for a coffee at the cafe. I had the loose change under control, but home made snacks, not so much.
I get the feeling that Lucie, mum and creator of II Tutto, would fit right in with my ever impressive organised friends. As a mum of two she fully appreciates the need to have essential items at hand. Thats why she designed the perfect baby bag. One that combines style with functionality.
Each and every II Tutto nappy bag is made from luxury materials and features a removable lining so that you can easily wash your bags internals. They also include a padded change mat, insulated bottle holder and clear plastic purse especially for smaller essentials, like the bonjela, sudocrem, panadol and wind treatments. That my friends, is pretty much everything you need to be an awesome mother. Throw in a nappy or two and a travel pack of wipes and you're set.
I for one, will never again* be caught out in public with out the necessary items to care for my children. Baby Beetleshack number three will at all times be respectable and tidy.
So tell me, do you need a little nudge in the right direction when it comes to organisation, or do you have the home made snacks under control?
Either way, a II Tutto is an asset to any mothers handbag arsenal.
The beautiful team at II Tutto are offering one lucky reader of The Beetle Shack the chance to win MIA pictured below. She is a leather zip top tote featuring multiple external pockets and straps that will fit over the handle of your pram (a major benefit). Carried by none other than Cate Blanchett, she is valued at $449.00 and rather lovely. See how I just called her 'she'- i don't know why I did that, it just happened.
To enter simply be a follower of The Beetle Shack (over on the right) and leave a comment below telling me which school you belong to - does organisation comes easily to you or are you, like me, always searching for that free range nappy in the boot of your car?

I am a happy follower and NO organization does not cone easily to me. Typically I have a diaper, a zip lock with spies and then 29 smashed crackers in the bottom of my bag:) I need help and I have baby #3 due in march!

ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful bags! I, like you, learnt the hard way in becoming organised. I am a work in progress and a nudge in this direction would be delightful! xxx Fi
ReplyDeleteI used a tshirt to wipe Lucy's tush the other day because I had no wipes.
ReplyDeleteI'd say that makes me less organised than the average bear.
I'm a Beetleshack FB follower too! xx

ReplyDeleteI love your blog and have been following you on fb for ages :)I definitely have had moments of being put on the spot without a nappy, drink or snack to be found with my 1st baby! But the more kids I've had (I have 3 now) the more organized I've become. I always leave the house with everything in tow now :)

ReplyDeleteI follow you. As a year one teacher I have little choice but to be organised. But when I am in 'mommy mode' I have the unfortunate ability to be very distracted! This bag is so swoon worthy and I am worthy as I need a nice girly bag for when I have miss toddler and another newbie in the next month {37 weeks-eek}. Fingers crossed tightly. Xx
ReplyDeleteI like you on fb too;) xx
ReplyDeleteI am naturally organised, thank goodness. I don't know how I would cope otherwise!
ReplyDeleteMy sister is the opposite and is due with her first baby in March. So if I win, I'll gift the bag to her and cross my fingers that it helps.

ReplyDeleteI am completely disorganised. On Christmas Day when my son was 5 months old we realised I forgot to bring the nappy bag. Or any nappies. And were were 90 minutes from home.

ReplyDeleteOrganisation does NOT come easy to me - and am in fact guilty of often filling the house with extra things in an effort to organise us, which in turn ends up making even more of a mess!
ReplyDeleteI line up everything I think we will need, and then some more, on the kitchen bench. Think a small mountain of stuff. Then I throw it ll in a huge old bag I have had for ever. Then I luge this gynormous bag of stuff around, and can never actually find what I need in it.The other day I was actually yelling at my bag in public....well I was yelling at my phone to not stop ringing and to hold on as I could not find it in the bag. Yes I am that lady.
ReplyDeletehttp://iliska-dreams.blogspot.com.au/
Some days are better than others. I don't have the best nappy bag so I often find I use 2-3 bags depending on what my plans are for the day. This can at times leave me without a change mat or the right nappy or wipes which can be difficult at times. It is an adjustment now that I have a 4 month old and 3 1/2 year old. I need to have snacks and amusements for my toddler but also all the things required for a baby. An Il Tutto bag would be amazing!! I am a Beetle shack follower with Google friends, facebook liker for The Beetle Shack and Il Tutto and I have shared this fantastic offer on facebook.
ReplyDeleteI am extremely organised in the motherhood department. Only because of bad experiences with baby 1. Picture poo explosion - no spare clothes, nappies or wipes. I learnt my lesson very quickly. These nappy bags are amazing ad something I have drooled over for a long time now. I have everything crossed.
ReplyDeletePotts.family@optusnet.com.au
Am. Not. Organized at all. Actually, sometimes I remember to do stuff the night before, but it's not often. And yes, I've spent many a time looking for that last long lost desperately needed nappy in the boot!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow you on Facebook. :)
Im definaltey the one chasing that free range nappy or grabing hats and bags as we run out the door i follow you on FB and here ;) keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteI try to be an organised Mum but it doesn't always work. I can have the kids all sorted and then get half way (or all the way) to the shopping centre only to realise I have left my handbag at home. One of these beautiful nappy/handbags would be just the answer. Only one bag is needed and therefore one bag less to forget. What a fabulous giveaway, thank you, Melissa
ReplyDelete(I follow The Beetle shack on Facebook)
I'm usually very organised, however today I found myself in the supermarket with a very stinky baby and no nappy bag! I'd left it at home! I did however find some 5 day old mashed tiny teddys all through the bottom of my handbag! Which I just realized I forgot to clean out.
ReplyDeleteI follow on google friends up there
I'm a happy go lucky type, so being organised does not come easily, but with newborn baby and miss 4yo, i better be organized when we venture out and avoid the stress and despair

ReplyDeleteI'm seriously trying to be more organised - with 3 bambinos I have to! I WAS organised with #1... but something has happened and since then and I think I'm scrabbling a bit lately. Or a lot. Thank goodness the baby's food supply goes with me everywhere that I go! The MIA bag would be my style pick - how did you know! ;) And I'm sure she would NEVER go M.I.A.!

Maybe third time 'round I could pull off organised AND stylish?
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at sam's free and easy attitude to outings with kids. Being caught out once with poo / hunger / cold / heat / mud / thirst . . . is enough to make me take an arsenal of supplies.

Deletethank goodness for the free range nappy!...sooo many times we have had the "did you bring a nappy" conversation. "i thought you would of grabbed one"...."there will be one in the car somewhere?!"...."yes!!"....then we high five like we are the best parents ever!.....yes that nappy may well be full of sand and grit from rolling around with the balls and beach towels but hey we saved the day. yes we most definately need help in the organisation dept!.

ReplyDeleteI am totally disorganised. My park mums think that I starve my children – Oscar is always stealing their snacks, while I rifle through my bag hoping to find something to feed him (unsuccessfully). Ditto their drink bottles. And one of the other mum's will always produce some wipes to clean him up after eating said snack. Honestly, my poor babies, I always feel like I pack heaps of stuff, but never have anything I need.
ReplyDeleteWould love to win this bag.
And of course I like you on fb.
ReplyDeleteI'm in both schools - I'm always scrabbling around in my bag to find what I've packed. I need better internal organisation within the bag itself!
ReplyDeleteWow, I covet this bag!
ReplyDeleteMy friend's would probably describe me as disorganised when it comes to outings and my daughter. On the other hand, I am pretty organised on the home front. Go figure???
BTW, I'm a follower :)
ReplyDeleteI used to have the massive "baby bag" which is colour coordinated with your stroller (thats what everyone has here in Italy) however i found it so bulky and ugly that i pretty much stuff whatever i need in my bag, although i would love to have a stylish bag to do the job instead!(they strangely do not exist over here....

All done! I am typically an organised person and I usually have everything somewhere in my suitcase of a bag. Its finding the snack, nappy or wipes that is my problem and I don't know how many times I have simply up-ended my bag to find what it is I desire. This bag would be perfect for me. Meri kirihimete Em! Xo

ReplyDeleteorganization (organisation?) for sure. however, it only lasts for a hot minute and then my tote bag filled w ramona's things is stuffed with snack wrappers and my odds and ends. and then i freak out and organize all over again.

I'm extremely organised, and I was so organised when Boyo was a baby that I carried too much stuff with me. So I streamlined and made my own nappy wallet. I did them as gifts for so many mamas too.

ReplyDeleteIt would be so interesting to see how many organised vs non organised entries you get. I thankfully fall into the organised camp (and with two serious reflux babies you only leave the house without a change of clothes once!). If I win I am going to gift to my cherished friend who could really do with something lovely when her next baby arrives. xo
ReplyDeleteAm so not organised even with three wee ones. I am lucky to have a nappy and some wipes on an outing hee hee. However with going back to working 4 days a week organisation is my goal :)

Id like to think I'm organized but I'm not so much. I'm the one with a car full of 'just-in-case' nappies - just in case the three in my handbag, two under the seat, two stuffed in the pram aren't enough for the school pick up! So maybe I'm over prepared, as opposed to 'organised' as such.

ReplyDeleteHmmm... I think I'm somewhere in the middle here. Some days I am oh so smugly organised, others not so much. I think it all depends on how much sleep we've all had and how much coffee I've drunk! (ps. I follow and like on fb :) x
ReplyDeletei was disorganised until my 2 year old daughter decided to do a poo explosion at sydney airport about 2 years ago. my husband was with me but was dry retching, the nappies were in the checked-in luggage and i had none, to my horror in my hand luggage. used one of my t-shirts as a nappy and, of course, we missed the flight.
ReplyDeletei don't go anywhere without the kitchen sink nowadays.
