This sequence of photo's makes me laugh out loud every time I look at them.
Oh that tension between a father and a surfer.
Just watch Dave's body language change from kind-of-sorta-watching Zeph play to oogeling the ocean with complete abandon*.
He's a good man, that Dave.
The Holiday Grump (what I call the Ocean)
* of course I was there watching Zeph too (we're a good team like that). he was safe.

ReplyDeleteI don't have a surfer hubby, but if it was something to do with footy my hubby would be the same x
ReplyDeleteThis is great. My dad was EXACTLY the same when we were kids. Drove my mum a bit spare I think, his affair with surfing.

ReplyDeletethis photo is perfection, my partner will be like that too someday, I can just feel it! x
ReplyDeletei saw this post this morning as i was on my way out the door. it truly left a smile on my face all morning. as the 'other half' of a surfer, i get this all the time. our lives revolve around the ocean, we live overlooking it, we holiday at it. he is always thinking about it, looking at it, checking the wind and swell or spending time in it. surfer's live for the ocean don't they? you have to love someone with a passion.
