Stills: A Weekly Collection
1. Just your average Saturday morning at the table. Pikelets and conversation.
2. INIKA- easily the most beautiful cosmetics i've ever used. Organic and vegan and oh so amazing. New sponsor of The Beetle Shack and generous enough to offer some product for a giveaway in the coming weeks.
3. Peeking through the bedroom door to watch these two have a tickle fest. The sound of laughter was contagious, hence my lurking was detected rather quickly.
4. Yes, I bought Pippi her first My Little Pony, much to Daves disgust. I think i'm a little disgusted too, but then I get the urge to brush it's hair.
5. From our weekend wanderings. We travelled the paths that raging bush fires had devoured only weeks before.
6. A constant reminder of the landscaping that is slowly but surely taking place.

Don't they think it's magic when someone big hops in their cot?! Have been looking for some new lovely makeup...will have to have a look at Inika. Thanks for sharing. I was inspired by your stills last week and have started to snap away at random everyday things too (sometimes my hubby thinks I've gone mad as I won't let him eat the froth off his cappucino until I've photographed it!). Wishing you a lovely week.

You have to try the Inika, it's such great quality and all certified organic. I can recommend the foundation and mineral powders, they are hands down my fave to use (with the primer). I'd leave the mascara off the list though :)

Love these little snippets - don't discount the My Little Pony, they are a retro cool like Cabbage Patch Dolls. First toy I ever gave my little girl when I met her at 4 years old was a mauve My Little Pony, she brushed it's hair and plaited and beaded its tail like there was no tomorrow. Very fond memories, hope your little one loves hers as much
ReplyDeletethere is just something about their hair, I know!
DeleteThanks for sharing that lovely memory here, such a treasure!

Love Pippi's smile in #3, and the beautiful family moment in #1. I want our family to be one where we talk about any and all things because the kids know they can come to us for anything. It's lovely to see yours is the same!(Let's hope I'm not screwing mine up too bad by my haphazard mothering and that this will happen!)
ReplyDeleteahahah I know, I often wonder the same!

Nothing wrong with a My Little Pony. Look at that face. How could you not love that? And, yes, why is it we're compelled to brush their hair.
ReplyDeleteLovely Stills Em! I identify with the giggle-lurking...it gets me all giddy and stalker-ish.
ReplyDeleteDo not feel guilty or ashamed of the my little pony purchase, they are the best! As a child I never had barbie's (except one 'Cindy' doll when I turned 5 but cut all her hair off) and not many plastic toys, but I was gifted a few My little Pony's, and ever since even as an adult they have always drawn me in. I love their smell, hair and especially the rainbow ones. Did you have a sniff?
Happy photographing.

ReplyDeleteI think my daughter needs one. Surely. xx
one of our favourites (pikelets so quick to cook and delicious with lots of thick cream) and of course conversation gathered at the table on a saturday morning x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! Watch out for the My Little Ponies, they breed like rabbits and soon you'll have a house full of them! My girls just adore them though. x
ReplyDeletebeautiful moments
ReplyDeleteHaha Corinne's comment made me giggle- I used to LOVE My Little Ponies as a child and my mom literally has tubs upon tubs of them up in the attic... I wouldn't even dare count how many we have, I'd be so embarrassed! PS- Em, loved LOVED your fritter comment the other day. ;) You're the best! x
