Moving Portraits by Urban Safari

sponsored post

Let me tell you about Kate, a family girl from Melbourne with a big ol' pounding heart for the world around her. She is a daughter, a sister and a soon-to-be wife who has travelled the world over with her camera in tow.

It was these adventures, away from her people and place of origin that sparked a true and lasting love affair with the ordinary and the beautiful, leading her to create her own photography business, Urban Safari. With Urban Safari Kate documents the interplay between these entities. For her, real beauty is in the way ones hair never sits right, it's in the sound of little ones stumbling over big words, and the excitement they find in small things around them.

Thats why Kate doesn't just stop at still images, she has developed 'Moving Portraits'; more than just capturing the way a family looks these moving images capture voice, the sound of laughter, and the sweet mutterings that are uttered in daily life.

Intrigued?

Meet Issabel below. But heed my warning, if you are a highly emotional pregnant woman this WILL make you cry (ehum). If you are clucky, this will increase your desire for children and if you are looking for a Christmas present for international family/friends, this will make you book. Just sayin'.

You can contact Urban Safari here or find them on Facebook right here.

As a special offer for readers of The Beetle Shack, Kate is offering a free hardcover album valued at $400 with every Moving Portrait booked in November. Kate is based in Melbourne but travels interstate regularly and on request.

  10. Oh yay! That's MY family! We just love our moving portrait SOOO much Kate - you are amazing. The kids went to that bit of beach yesterday and called it 'Kate's beach'! - they had the best time with you, you made them feel special. And now they are more than a little obsessed with watching themselves... over and over lol. The grandparents are using it to show all of their friends their grandchildren! Thank you again, we are just thrilled to have something so special to keep forever. xxx
