Wearing: A Zimi Shift

Last week I mentioned my love of super simple, wearable clothing. There is most definitely something to be said for a dress that can be thrown on and cover a multitude of sins. Enter Mister Zimi shift dress two (currently on sale for $50- craazzyy). I can see this number coupled with oodles of accessories applied layer upon layer.

Wearing

Dress c/o Mister Zimi
Shoes Zoe Wittner
Ring discovered in Melbourne

Have you bought your Zimi frock yet? If so, which one did you get? Can I recommend this one for great value!?

** SIZE NOTE** I'm wearing a large here. I'm typically a 12 but went bigger for some extra length and because I like a slouchy fit. I would have easily fit into a medium as the large was a little big on the shoulders and the body is really free flowing.

  6. I love those shoes on you Em! Are they wedges? Also, I love the dress, I read its Rayon and Im not usually too keen on fabrics that aren't natural but that goes out the window because this dress is great...it would accomodate alot of clothes/jewellery matchy matchy!

    2. Rayon is actually kinda natural. I think it's mad from wood pulp or something! Seriously! x

  7. Beautiful dress and shoes! Was just wondering how the dress goes with sizes - are the S equals 8, M is 10 quite accurate? Or are they generous/not at all generous sizes? Thanks for your help! X

    1. I'm wearing a large and i'm a size 12. It is kind of big on me so i's say there were fairly accurate!

    2. Thanks so much, I think I'm going to go for the M even though I think it'll be quite roomy. I have plans to layer under and over it on a trip to Europe! P.S - In reference to a comment down below, I think your blog design draws inspiration from blogs such as Fat Mum Slim but it's doing its own thing and I wouldn't worry ;)

  11. Hmm I wonder how well a belly full of babe would fit under that dress? I always end up showing off my knickers whenever I bend over.

  12. i had a look at them and thought would be waaaaaaaaaaay too short but maybe not...just occurred to me MY legs are NOT all giraffe like in fact quite the opposite so could have been a goer after all

  13. whoops meant to ask too is is COOL? I hate hate hate hot weather and hot clothes. Living in Qld the hunt for the perfect cool clothing comes into play right about now

Sick of buying something lovely but its seethrough so have to wear something under it so hmm there goes the cool factor

    Or its a sweaty fabric

or is lovley floaty strappy strappy which doesnt go with the big bazookas I have been blessed with (those stupid thick bra straps get in the way...not to mention the bazookas they get in the way a lto too)

    1. Hey Michele,

I can't honestly say that it's cool. It's more of a spring dress, rather than hot summer, you know?

I love mycakies design though, I suppose there really is nothing new under the sun!

    2. I'm actually just going to suggest that its vastly different to my cakeis. Colour scheme, header, image size, advertising and so on. I can see the similarities but 'exact copy'- absolutely not.

I also can't help but say how noble it is for you to comment as anonymous.

  20. You look totes fabs, but... I would LOVE a Mister Zimi but he doesn't love me. I cannot ethically agree with a shop that makes their 'XL' a size 14. It makes me vom a little bit, it really does. x

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. hmmm yes, I actually just checked the website and see they do a little conversion chart for sizes! In my opinion, there is no way that the XL would be a 14, I've got the large (im a standard 12) and it was super big on me. i would say it was easily be a 14, making the XL a 16.

I don't know what they do that- especially when selling online.

  30. Just bought 3 mister zimi dresses over the phone from their Melbourne store. Are the zips supposed to be sewn on the outside of the dress as opposed to being sewn into the dresses?

  31. There is so much I want to share about growing, birthing and raising this baby and I hope that I can manage to do so with sensitivity and tact (which is rather unnatural for me). Along the way i'll share my past experiences (maybe) and intentions (definitely) about the birth of this little treasure.
