Over The Hills And Far Away

Before I learnt how to use my camera, I took these snaps of my mum and the little ones. They were walking the headlands of my youth, taking the beauty in their stride. Oh, that childlike joy- may it always be contagious.

photo edit notes: pics were almost fluro with the grass way too green and clothing vibrating on the screen. Reduced saturation and contrast in all images. Used iphoto- it's all i've got.

  6. Your Mum gave you that gorgeous effervescent smile and twinkle in her eye! These photos are lovely...and before you learnt to use your camera. Awesome! They look like some seriously good grassy hills to ride scraps of cardboard down on. Did you ever do that as a wee one? :)

  14. Love the pics. Whenever we are restless I take my smalls to the beach (preferably to the ocean, where it's windy and wild) and it unwinds us. They love shouting and running and making crazy, and it makes me feel alive.
    Hope you're having a good week. x
