Leaving On A Jet Plane

This is about as calm as it's been here for the last couple of days. Chaos reigns supreme, there are crumbs on the floor, boogers on the children's faces and my washing basket smells like a million bums.

So it's with delight that I shall pack an overnight bag and board a plane to Melbourne for a couple of days.

I'll be leaving my darling husband with a filthy house*, an empty pantry and of course the two children that we share together. They're bound to have fun!

It's the first time ever that i've left both Dave and the kids at the same time. Dave's been away, Dave and I have been away but never have I been away without any of them. I know i'll miss them, and them me - but i'd be lying if I said I wasn't a tiiinyyyyy bit excited about sipping quiet lattes, indulging in quiet shopping and sleeping in till.... you know... like 7 am or something.

I'll be on fb and instagram no doubt, say hi to me there!

Also, i did a dorky 'wearing' post earlier in the day. You can see it here.

*Strangely enough, this was posted on the same day last year. My home currently bears a striking resemblance. I guess Some things never change.

  2. remember that episode of the simpsons when marge goes to prison, and within an hour there's an alligator in the toilet and a rubbish tip under the rug? i always think that will happen if i go anywhere. mostly, they just all run around in their undies and eat chips. enjoy your trip!

  6. Oh enjoy every second of your little escape. And no point leaving then with a clean house, it will just be trashed regardless and men don't notice dust bunnies anyway. And same for the food, he will probably take them to maccas, visit the parents, leave you with a mountain of washing and then say it's easy peasy looking after the kids and house all day and what on earth are you always complaining about! melx

  8. Forgot to add that the Lego police game that I won in your giveaway is getting A LOT of love from the boys, every night while I cook dinner actually. Suspect this is why Legoman has been home early from work this week. melx
