The Urge to Get Dressed

We've spent the past two weeks in a bit of a daze, the flu had us bed ridden and house bound.  Fortunately for us, we are surrounded by beautiful friends, family and neighbours who have bought us care packs and dinners, done our washing and swept our floors.

I've busied myself with burning peppermint oil and taking Olive Leaf Extract shots (thanks for the tips on facebook, friends)

Today was the first time in almost two weeks that the urge to dress myself took over.  I celebrated by wearing in my brand new Sole Society boots, putting my fruitiest linens on the bed and heading out to our quagmire of a back yard to squelch about in the mud with the kids.

Whoop Whoop.

how are you feeling friends? Healthy?

oh, don't forget to enter this giveaway that ends on thursday!

*Thank you for your kind comments on the Cancer Residue posts. Hi, I'm Emily, the girl with glass eye. It's nice to meet you.

  1. Thrilled you're up & perky. Is there anything better than the pride children have in finding eggs?? Our hens are laying in the afternoons (no wonder with -6Ca few times this week in Canberra) now on school holidays (finally) our children are on egg watch a few times a day. Now we're willing our ducklings to be females & lay in the future too, as duck eggs are insanely good. Love Posie

  7. You too huh? We've been hit with the flu here too. Between running around with the thermometer and doling out medicine, I feel like I should have a clip board and a nurses uniform. (Try keeping track of who has had what meds at what time, and with what temps...) Hubby has gone back to work today, so I'm doing it alone, and running on 3 hrs of interrupted sleep. Pass the chocolate please.
Hope everyone at the beetle shack is feeling bright and perky soon! Just keep reminding yourself that spring is on it's way!

  12. hooray for healthy! I love your images... awesome. I have been lucky enough to escape the sickness in this little home. Both mine were unwell, and have come back to me all healthy after a little holiday. Crossing everything the winter blues are over, and we can enjoy more winter sunshine.

  14. I feel you with that Urge-to-get-dressed thing. I feel crappo hanging in the PJ's for an entire day, even though its completely awesome that you can, and that being sick justifies the whole getup. But, heck...its a grotty feeling eh, you're urge worked a treat...you look fresh, sparkly and new. The outfit is casual-cool and I love those booties on you. Zeph's little hoodie jerkin is pretty cute too!
