My Helper

The Lady Baby loves to help. If there is a sponge in sight she won't rest until it is in her hand - ready for wiping. She'll wipe the floors, the walls, her face, the doors, me... anything really.

We were soaking in a warm bath together the other night when she decided that I needed some help to wash my face. She did a fabulous job of lathering up and smearing cleanser all over my forehead and cheeks, as she moved her tender little hands to my chin- she stumbled across a rough patch, looked at me proudly and declared 'BEARD'.

Awesome.

Next she'll approach me with a razor and offer to help me shave.

She must have learnt her tact from her big brother.

  1. Hilarious. Once my daughter looked under my arms and pointed and said "like daddy". Honest little creatures aren't they.

  5. My son used to love playing with the mole on my chin while I sang him a lullaby. He found it comforting. And he would alert me to the single wiry hair that would appear from that mole (seemingly overnight) in no uncertain terms. Pretty gross, but very handy. I can't wait for menopause...

  11. Very cute. Children don't have any tact. From my daughter...Mummy why is your tummy wrinkled and squishy?

  12. I love the random things kids say. As a teacher I get to experience heaps of them. One kid from my class last year hugged me and said it was the best hug because my tummy was so squishy. Gotta love 'em! x
