Tutorial- How To Make A Photo Diptych
Ever since Tim first took our pictures way back when, I've been dreaming of having pretty diptych's on my blog. There was only one problem, I didn't have the skills (or the necessary adobe suite). I've downloaded numerous apps to my iphone and googled away for hours at a time but it had been fruitless. Until now.
I always knew it was possible to lay two images side by side using the free program Picasa, but for the life of me I could't figure out how to do it. Finally, thanks to this awesome you tube clip I have been going bonkers making collages (you can see my first attempts here).
* note* Heather goes to the center bottom to click the 'collage' button - it is actually located at the top mid left corner... see it?
So there you have it- super sonic easy.
Have a fabulous weekend my friend!

Oh, thanks! I've been googling my fingers off (not as fun as it sounds - sorry, I'm reading Shades of Grey and my mind is in the gutter...) for months trying to work this out. Thanks. Again.
ReplyDeleteHey Em,
ReplyDeleteYou know, I noticed when you started doing these!
Love your work - keep it up.

p.s. I've been tossing around ideas in my head about running a designy workshop/class/ecourse for bloggers. Would you be interested!? (And/or in partnering up? I have ideas, but nothing concrete yet.

I recently discovered picmonkey (after losing picnik) which also has an easy collage feature.
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to figure that out for ages - thank you SO much!
ReplyDeleteYou should try Photoscape, it's a free download and comes with a tonne of frames that you just pop the pictures into.
ReplyDeleteI've been using bighugelabs to make mosaics and diptychs. You can use photos straight from flickr by copying the code. :)
