They spend their time running laps of the house, laughing like hyenas and pausing to 'mmmwha' kiss. When Zephie is at preschool the Lady Baby wanders aimlessly through the house calling his name and playing with his trucks.
Today, when they were reunited at 2:55 after almost five hours apart they hugged each other for long time, right there in the middle of the big grey mat in the main room at preschool. They embraced, exchanged hello's and shared a knowing smile. They have their own thing these two. They are completely and utterly adorable.
Growing up, my brother was well and truly my best friend and that makes seeing this blossoming love even more special.
They are blessed beyond measure.

Such a joyous thing to watch isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful. I grew up as an only child so I just think it is such an amazing gift that my boys have each other.
ReplyDeleteRonnie xo
How wonderful they have each other, I wish my guy had someone.
ReplyDeleteSo sweet, melts my heart. My two are so similar, they always to the big fall down embrace at pick up time and people always look at them strangely. But I love the way they love each other. It's the best. x
ReplyDeleteso true - that special bond is so, so special
ReplyDeleteAhh, this was so lovely to read! I'm the Mumma of a 22 month old son and am due to have my second in Sept... I can only hope they are as close as your two. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. So so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! ... my two are like that two. My 18 month old girl Isabelle has given her 3 year brother Noah the name "Wa-wa" (sounds a bit like Noah)and they love each other to pieces. So precious isn't it?
ReplyDelete..that should be 'like that *too'
Deleteheart melting isn't it... I could have written this post almost word for word... Miss J cried at the door for 15 mins when her big sister left for pre-school today - missing her bestie... and Miss E ran to give her a hug this afternoon at pick-up... a massive big hug with none left for mum!... but honestly - I don't mind... it just melts my heart to see them together...
ReplyDeleteso sweet ♥ my girls are now 8 and 10 (soon to be 9 and 11) and I miss those days of their baths together....they'd stay in for an hour having so much fun playing together. They still enjoy doing things together, and are BEST friends, but are now growing up!!!
ReplyDeleteOh so sweet. Our 7 year old (boy) and 4 year old (girl) love each other to bits, although the 7 year old is becoming a little to cool for the hugs and kisses. So cute to see her chase him to get that kiss! But they also fight like cats and dogs too. Best friends one minute and "i'm not playing with you anymore" the next. I can remember those days with my little brother!
ReplyDeleteNaw, so cute!
ReplyDeleteI remember when my 2 were like that. Now that they're older, Jesse still loves to cuddle Ryleah, but she hates it! And he's in high school, he's the one who should be hating it!
They're still cute now even though things have changed.
Enjoy this time! It goes by in a flash :(

SO sweet!!! I can't wait for my little one to experience that bond. gorgeous snaps Em :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, that's lovely. What a gift that they are surrounded by so much love and be able to express love as well. Such a wonderful start to life. Can't wait to give my girl a sibling when I read something like this.xx Ps, those little backs and necks are just so adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh, so cute. I love that they're not too cool to hang out together. My lads are the same, and I know I've got to enjoy it while I can!
ReplyDeleteThis post very nearly made my heart explode Em. This is SO like the relationship between my two as well. Nothing makes me happier right now, than watching them falling asleep holding hands on the lounge or that first embrace they share in the morning and the cheeky smiles on their bright faces. The BEST I tell you. And totally why we had children in the first place, no?!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics of your beautiful babes xo
They are SO CUTE! I remember when I was pregnant with our second baby (sweet Rosie, though I didn't know it at the time) I was terrified of what would happen if they both needed me at the same time? There's only one of me! How will they do this thing together? I was quite scared, if I'm honest! But nobody told me about the utmost joy it brings to see my children together! Any challenges from having more than one child are so much more than outweighed by the intense love they bring! Gorgeous, Em. (Them and you.)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. This post really resonated with me. I have two sisters and wondered how my kids would get on as boy/girl siblings. But they do, they adore each other and make each other laugh in ways that I can't.
ReplyDeleteIt's just too gorgeous for words. Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteCould they be any cuter!! You should be really proud of raising such beautiful children!
ReplyDeleteGorgeousness. I too love that my babes are like best friends. the love they have for each other is very special. With having a big age gap now being pregnant with our third I hope that he experiences with them what the two of them already share. x
ReplyDeleteSoooo cute...
ReplyDeleteLovely post. I had no idea what it meant to have a sibling until our second was born - my oldest is such a sweet, patient big brother, and the youngest adores him, and copies everything, EVERYTHING, his brother does. I love to see them together, especially in the sunshine, playing outdoors, making their own fun.
ReplyDeleteI am pregnant with my first bubba but my husband has always said he only wants us to have the one. The thought that our baby will never experience the bond & love of a sibling breaks my heart but i don't see him ever changing his mind about this, he feels very strongly about it. I am so close to my brother & sister & i can't imagine growing up as an only child.
ReplyDeleteso sweet photos! I´m looking forward for another baby so my girl would have a brother or sister.
