Vintage Sunday (snotty vintage sunday)

We've been down and out with a cold round here. Dave and I have been tag teaming rest times and letting the kids watch endless movies.  When up and awake we have been taking solace in the warmth of the mid day sun - but most of the time we've been snuggled up under blankets with tissues shoved up our noses.

I did find a moment to hit the op-shops earlier in the week though. I collected a few treasures, including a pair of awesome vintage Sandler heels and a small selection of women's wear that I plan to add to bug and beetle later in the week.

Tell me you've been enjoying the sunshine this weekend.

go on- tell me how great it's been (i actually really want to know, any distraction from my laundry, kitchen, children, husband would be appreciated).

  2. Oh sweetie, sorry to hear of the snotfest. Let me know if you need anything from the shops. I've got a bunch of organic lemons here...need them for tea?

    I voted too - clever you x

  3. Hope you feel better soon, honey and lemon tea is a great idea. We've been moving house in the beautiful sunshine, it helps me find my way out of all the boxes.

  5. Get well soon me-dear!
And why yes I have been enjoying the sunshine - unlike my husband who has been banished into the "sewing/art" room till he has finished it - damn it!!

  6. I can't help you out on the sunshine front. I've had to take the whole week off work as i have bronchitis. I've been coughing so much that i actually asked my doctor if it was possible to dislodge my baby from the coughing! He laughed at me but i was serious!
I did sneak out to an op-shop yesterday & thank god i did. I found 2 amazing vintage dresses in my size for $7 & $8 each! I don't know when i'l ever wear them but they look great in my wardrobe! Great shoes you scored!

  9. LOVE those shoes! We were sick with colds the week before last - and I battled another bout of mastitis too - so that was no fun. Hope the sunshine sticks around - it's much better being sick in the sun than being sick in the gloomy rain and clouds. Here's hoping this week contains a lot less snot!

  11. Oh Em, you poor things, I guess it's good to get the old immune system built up for the Winter months, better now than when it's dark and cold and miserable. I don't like to say it, but we did enjoy the sunshine thoroughly this weekend, it was too glorious for words... so I won't go on. Get better soon lovey xo

  14. Having been through many a snotfest(last years being particularly prolonged and memorable) I can only say hang in there and wait for all the kleenex to settle. I was out at suitcase rummage finding a pile of goodies sans children - pics coming soon. Don't be jealous, the snot always hits Brisbane a good month after you guys so a few weeks and the shoe will be on the other foot!

  15. Ooh, those shoes are gorgeous. What a find! On the weekend front, mine has been very boring. I am saving, so on a strict budget, had hoped to go to the movies but alas, out of money for those luxuries at the moment.
