There is nothing more magic that seeing an artist at work, especially when that artist is Rodney Simmons. Like the impressionists he works outside, close to nature with his feet touching the earth. With a lose grip and a rhythmic stroke he paints, layer upon layer until a dishevelled perfection appears.

what an amazing video...I met my husband in drawing class...we're both art majors...painting was my focus, and pottery was my husbands...unfortunately, right now neither of us are making much art, BUT our children are happy! MAYBE one day we'll do it all...

Oh wow, what an amazing video. I used to love drawing - I loved charcoals at school. I haven't done it in years as I work as a photographer professionally and that (+ blogging) tends to sap all my creative energy. That work is simply beautiful ♥
