Oh, Hi Guys

The young man has a collection of small wooden animals that float around the house acting as trip hazards. They are super cute and I like to see them from time to time and imitate their noises for the educational benefit of my son (who am i kidding, i love making barn yard noises- it's totally for me). At the end of each day I would gather them into a group and arrange them for their daily conference.

Recently, It occurred to me that I hadn't seen them for a while. I asked the Young Man if he knew where they were. He looked up at me, surprised. 'Just under there mummy' he answered, pointing under the table. I had a good look on the floor and chairs. I couldn't see them. 'No- right up under there mummy. They're hiding'.

Ooooh I see, under there.

Oh hi guys, there you are seeking refuge from the chaos

I wonder if they could make some room for me?

  2. oh cute! that reminds me of when I used to work at Te Papa, I was playing with some puppets with a two year old boy. We were doing 'what does the animal say' and when I said 'what does the snake say?' he grinned at me and then flicked his tongue in and out of his mouth. SO cute!

  10. My daughter has a Paris collection Eiffel Tower , A air ballon that says Paris ,a small Monet print and a few other ods and ends. She took boxes from the Farmers Market and made a subway and said that her dollies were touring Paris and then took a girl action figure put her in the ballon and said she was looking at the Eiffel Tour . I said ok she said yea it is so expensive to Tour Paris in this ballon when I grow up I want one. The cute things they do with simple things when they have to use their imagination . YOU ROCK own mom

  14. He's a cutie that little guy. Animals and children are the perfect combination - wooden, live or otherwise. My guy loves his huge collection of those Schliech (sp?) animals to this day (he's now 7). Best toys I ever bought and a sheer delight to run into them all lined up and ready for play. x

And wouldn't it be nice if there was room for us too?
