The Other Side

It was my mother in law's birthday the other day so we all got together to eat and drink.

If there is one thing that is true, it's that Dave's family knows how to party. There was roasted roo, potatoes, black eyed pea salad, red wine, white wine, champagne and beer. We all squished around the table while arms and forks flew in every direction, ensuring all plates were overflowing. The conversation was loud, as it always is and we spoke with our mouths full, as we always do. For dessert, fruit and chocolate fondue was devoured with vigour.

Once the feasting was over, the table cleared and the Young Man asleep in his bed (his first ever sleep over at DziaDzia and BooBoo's) my brother in law stated with a wry smile - 'You guys (referring to the kiddies) sure have brought the crazy to a whole new level'. I thought- it's true, we have. And no higher complement could be paid in this family.

So, thanks Brendan. Thanks for the food, thanks for the good times and thanks for diggin' the crazy.

Speaking of Crazy, It's Maxabella's Birthday today so go an cheer her on.

  11. What a beautiful post, gorgeous pics. It's a crazy affair when my fam get together also. 6 bro's and I, then 18 kids between us all. Now my nephew and his wife are about to add a little one to the crazy. It is such a rare event when we can all make it, but when it does happen, it's a riot :o)
