Fat Birds

The Young Man slept the other day for the first time since... forever. It was a beautiful, beautiful thing. I felt the tension leave my body as soon as stillness filled the house. Silence is a rare treat here, as i'm sure it is in your home if you have kids.

I've gotta say, i'm kinda missing 'me' at the moment. I'm missing having time to think in silence, to complete a task, to pee with out being interrupted, to sleep with out being woken and to paint with out having to share my brushes.

Anyway, I digress- the Young Man slept and I got out some teeny tiny canvases and brushes and made a little mess, all by myself, just like I did on Tuesday with Lauren.

Nothing better than being alone when you need it.

im joining maxabella today because she is flippin' awesome. You should join her too for a little bit of gratitude.

p.s- Some of you mentioned that you would be interested in buying some of these bird suckers. I'm interested to know what you think would be a reasonable price. I've asked around and peeps have said between $10 - $50 (i'll be honest, not even my own mother would pay $50). I've done some with little timber frames also- i'll add some pics when I get the chance. You are RAD!

  8. I love them (and you for being so flipping kind).

I reckon between $20 - $30 is fair. And I would offer to package them as a threesome and charge $70 for three. That's what I would do. x

  18. So I've just been stalking through your archives when I came across these gorgeous little bird paintings. Are you still painting when you get a chance? Would you like to do a swap one day? A piece of my art for yours? Please? Thanks, Im.
