The Most Beautiful Gift

As you know, my little dude turned two just a few weeks ago. People were overwhelmingly generous at his party, he received a bunch of beautiful gifts and got to play with his friends in the sunshine. After the fun was over, bunting removed from the trees and toys packed away, there was one little gift yet to be enjoyed.

Our river cottage besties Jesse and Yossie  thoughtfully hand made The Young Man some choc chip cookie dough, wrapped it with brown paper, tied it with string and included some number cookie cutters. What a beautiful gift from some beautiful people (they really are quite an attractive pair).

In all the excitement I forgot to take pics of the delicious gift, but it looked about as good as this, maybe better.

We pulled up the step ladder, spread out some flower and rolled that dough out, cut the numbers 1-10, baked them and ate them. It was a tasty treat for the whole family after our midday naps.

Maybe you could make a little person some edible, educational gifts? Maybe i could too.

I'll ask that pretty Jessie for her recipe and post it next week.
