Tuesday, pretty much my favourite night of the week. For the past couple of years we have indulged in the delight that is Hugh Fearnley-Wittingstall, the genius behind River Cottage. The bumbling English man is living the dream, working his own land and being faithful to his ideals of self-sufficiency, food integrity, and the consumption of local, seasonal produce. We have been inspired by these ideas and attempt to do the same, if only once a week. So tonight it's home made burgers with tomato chutney and baked cheese cake for dessert.
Check out Hugh and his team (I have a minor crush on Gil), read about his ideas, get a copy of his recipe books from your local library and then invite a bunch of your friends around for dinner. Make them all bring something from their garden.
