If Martha Can Do It...

We have a 5 day weekend coming our way and I thought I'd try some Easter Crafts with The Young Man (like he'll be interested, this is totally for my benefit). I found some here.

  Tools and Materials

Standard egg dye
Rubber bands
Inexpensive lace trimmings or scraps from a worn tablecloth or curtains
Foam board fitted with flathead pins

Lace Egg How-To1. Cut lace into strips long enough to wrap around eggs and still have extra to form a sash for holding.

2. Wrap eggs, securing lace with rubber bands. Dye eggs according to dye package instructions. Lift out, cut off rubber bands, and unwrap lace. Let dry on foam board fitted with flathead pins.

Tools and Materials
Crepe Paper Carrots How-To
1. Loosely wrap orange streamer to form carrot shape, making it thicker at top. Tuck in gifts as you work. Press end of paper down into top.
2. Fold green crepe paper in half across its grain. Download leaf template, and trace onto folded paper. Cut out; bunch up. Tuck leaves into carrot top; secure with dab of hot glue.

well, if it's good enough for Martha....
